🔗 Share this article The Animated Series' Showrunner Has Seen Your Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been intense. Season 1 presents a large cast of characters living within the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by songs about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession. The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve? "Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the showrunner stated recently. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!" The creator says her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series. That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for happens this season. "I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members." The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the form of audience prediction charts. "I've seen a couple people create a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy." Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
