The country's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

Moscow has increased attacks on electrical systems over the past few days, while officials has demanded "real steps" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not window dressing but strong steps - from the America, European nations and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and applying restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty missiles struck the country's power systems, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were laboring to repair systems.
